A lakeside room on Snow Pond in Sidney, twenty minutes or so from Augusta and Waterville. Cedar-built and glassy, with the water on one side — it was the Lakeside Lodge on Bangs Beach before it became a wedding venue.
It takes weddings of up to 100 guests, which puts it in the middle of the range for Maine and makes it worth a look if the big barns feel like more room than you need.
The part worth knowing: you bring your own vendors. Catering and bar are both yours to choose rather than picked from a required list, which is unusual enough in Maine to be the reason to consider it. Viewings are by appointment.
