A post-and-beam barn on a 14-acre homestead in Parsonsfield, in the inland corner of York County. The farm dates to 1799 and is one of the oldest in the town: a five-bedroom colonial farmhouse, a 250-tree apple orchard, and a hundred-year-old maple grove along the entrance.
The barn keeps its original framework, with high ceilings, glass doors opening onto the orchard and a tavern-style bar area. It holds up to 150. Outside there are several ceremony spots to choose between — under the maples in the front yard, or behind the barn with the orchard as the backdrop.
The season runs May to October. The base rate includes the farmhouse to get ready in as well as the property and barn, so getting-ready space is not a separate line item. Out of season the barn is a recording studio and the farm makes maple syrup, which they will bottle as favours if you ask.
