A timber-frame barn built on top of a mountain in Norway, surrounded by 200 private acres in the Oxford Hills. The barn runs to 3,500 square feet under a 28-foot cathedral ceiling, with a wall of windows onto the mountain views and seating for up to 233 — one of the larger barn capacities in the state.
The property is set up for a whole weekend rather than an afternoon. There is an estate lodge that sleeps seventeen, plus a cliff cabin, an 1820s farmhouse and a townhouse, so the wedding party and immediate family can stay on site. A side patio handles the cocktail hour, and the barn itself has newly built bathrooms rather than portable units — a small thing that matters more than couples expect at a rural venue.
