A working 200-acre family farm in Scarborough with a 16-acre event side: the barn, open fields, a woodland gazebo ceremony site and an 1908 farmhouse estate. It has been hosting weddings since 2013 and is a mile from I-95 and ten minutes from the Portland Jetport, which for guests flying in is about as easy as a Maine farm venue gets.
The barn seats 120 with lighting. Above that, dinner moves to a tent alongside it with cocktails and dancing staying inside — so past 120 guests a tent is part of your budget rather than an option, and it is sized to your headcount. There is no fixed ceiling: the owner says events above about 175 have been rare since 2020, but the farm has 17 acres and has hosted larger. Ask them for your number rather than assuming one.
Two details set it apart from most barns. The ceremony site is **handicap accessible** and there are two accessible restrooms — accessibility is confirmed at only a handful of Maine venues we've checked, because almost nobody publishes it. And the farmhouse sleeps up to 15 across four bedrooms with a bridal suite, a full kitchen, laundry and a 1,400 square foot patio with a firepit that the farm suggests for a rehearsal dinner.
The gazebo has power for music, and the ceremony approach is wide enough for limos, antique cars and horse-drawn wagons. The farm also runs an equestrian centre, a seasonal retail store and greenhouses.
